My dear Andrea and I
Let me tell you a little story. Once upon a time there was a dorky girl named Cherie with bad teeth, too much hairspray and an addiction to New Kids on the Block. Along came another goofy girl always wearing turtlenecks, too big glasses, and a pair of tube socks (Andrea). That was back at Sacajawea Elementary, Mrs. Hobbs class. 18 years later...she is still my dearest friend. We have grown up and outgrown our outward geek and continue to embrace our inner geeks! Since then we have been penpals, roomates, graduated, married (not eachother, Silly), moved, and popped out a few kiddos. We're destined to be wrinkly old ladies together.

I hadn't seen Andrea for almost two years and both of us had new little ones we needed to meet. It was wonderful to see her and her little girls! She remains a beautiful person, inside and out, and it is fun to see her as a mom. We spent time playing with the girls, chasing Nyla, and even went swimming at her hotel. Everyone should have a girlfriend like her.
Lily gives Nyla the evil eye. I think she is jealous of all that cute, curly hair!
Chappy Birthday Grandma!
My dad helped arrange to fly my mom out to Utah at the same time. We wanted to surprise her for her birthday and surprise her we did! She was in shock when...well, go ahead and watch the video:
We spent the remainder of our vaycay with family. My sweet inlaws (does everyone love their inlaws as much as I do?) came down from Idaho, along with my sister Kristen, to stay with my Grandpa M. and me. I got to meet my Grandpa O.'s new sweet wife, Marva, and also my soon to be sister-in-law, Janilee. The family is officially getting bigger and better!

On that note....MY BROTHER IS GETTING MARRIED!!! Not only is he getting married, he is marrying an AMAZING and talented girl. They are getting married on August 8th. Lily is going to be a flower girl at the wedding and we are thrilled to celebrate this day with them.
