Grandparent Mania Weekend

This past weekend (February 27th - March 4th) we were lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents visit the Kahmann Klan. It was a wonderful weekend and just perfect in every way. They came out to celebrate the blessing of Grant and Lily's birthday (more to come on that later...I'm just waiting for the weather to warm up a little to take her 6 year pictures).

Sawyer LOVED spending time with his Bapas and Grammas. He woke up early each morning to see if Grammie and Bapa Kahmann were ready for some fun by grabbing their toes and jumping in bed to snuggle.

Bapa Miles met Grant for the first time and he had some cheeky smiles to give him. He already knows who can appreciate his little silly faces.

Oh the joy. I don't believe I did dishes or cooked all weekend thanks to Papa & Mama K. Sawyer even saw their great examples and jumped in to serve also.

Mama K made Lily some vintage Barbie dresses. How gorgeous! I LOVE homemade. The dresses were not only gorgeous and detailed, but also modest. So sweet.

Mama K has the cutest expressions when she reads to the kiddos. She just makes me so happy.

Lily was so excited about her mermaid cake (even though I almost sabotaged it, sorry Mom), that she gave the pedestal a quick spin and the cupcakes went flying across the table. Fastest way to serve the crowd I've ever seen.

Score! Holding up a present from Aunt Kristen. She might just have inherited her love of Barbies from her mommy.

My parents stayed in a hotel with a super warm pool. The kids had fun swimming almost daily with Keith, Gramma Miles, and Mommy who dared to wear a swimsuit two months after having a baby. It was totally worth it to have so much fun with the kiddos.

Grammie K totally earned this smile with all her yummy cooking and help. Grant wanted her to know that she is welcome back ANYTIME!

Lily planned a Family Home Evening (FHE) for the crowd that was a hit. We talked about families and then each made a puppet of ourselves. Lily encouraged us to add lots of details and make our puppets "fashionable".

My gorgeous mama.

Lily all packed to spend the night with Gramma and Bapa Miles at their hotel. We giggled when we found out she had packed everything but the essentials (toothbrush, underwear, etc.). But at least she had her fashion boots and barbies.

One last hurrah of playtime before we sent Bapa and Gramma Miles off.

We can't wait to play again! Thanks for coming!!!
